Do I need to be musical to participate?

Not at all! You don't need to be musical to benefit from music therapy. Your sessions are tailored to you and we are guided by your comfort and interests.

What happens in a music therapy session?

Every session is personalised, but may include activities such as:

  • Listening to or discussing music

  • Songwriting or improvisation

  • Singing, drumming, or playing instruments

  • Guided relaxation using music

We will tailor sessions based on your preferences and therapeutic goals.

How do I get started?

Simply sing out to book an initial consultation or contact us if you have any questions. We’re here to help you explore whether music therapy is right for you or your loved one.

Where do sessions take place?

LA Therapy can come to you for in home sessions (Melbourne - please contact to check your location is covered through our at home servies) or you can choose to attend a listed clinic on the therapy page. Groups also run out of The Midwives' House (Thornbury) and Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne (Parkville).
